Wool pile and foundation are not the same
A rug described as having a wool pile is not necessarily made entirely of wool. Warp and weft may use other fibers. Check the individual product description for the information available; ask us before ordering if the foundation or fiber percentages are important to you.
Think about how the room is used
Consider size, pile height, construction, and care alongside color and pattern. Check door clearance and the stability of furniture. Suitability for heated floors or particular sensitivities should be assessed for the individual rug rather than assumed for the entire collection.
Care for the rug you have
Vacuum gently without a rotating brush and avoid catching loose fringe. Blot spills with a clean absorbent cloth without rubbing or soaking. Do not machine wash a rug unless its specific care instructions allow it. Professional cleaning is a better starting point when the dyes or construction are uncertain.
Some new wool rugs may release loose fibers; the amount and duration depend on the yarn and construction. Contact us about unusual or continuing fiber loss. Ask TISLIT about a rug or read our size and care guide.
